Our History: Family-Run since 1920
Over four generations, the village inn in Lustheim near Oberschleißheim has become our hotel by the palace park.
Book a roomThe inn in the village
Well into the 20th century, Lustheim was a village of many part-time farmers. The inn was the meeting place.
The first innkeeper of our house was Johann Huber, who also farmed his own land and fields. In 1898 his daughter married the master butcher Alfred Hochenrieder. He added a butcher's shop to the house, which was now called Gasthaus Hochenrieder.

Lustheim and the palaces
The village of Lustheim grew from day labourers' houses on the east side of the Hofgarten wall from 1684 onwards. At that time Elector Max Emanuel had the hunting and garden palace Lustheim built, between 1684 and 1688.
The Old Palace was built from 1616 to 1623, the New Palace from 1701 to 1726. Until 1918 the palace complex was the summer residence of the electors and kings of Bavaria. Schleißheim airfield was founded in 1912, the railway station opened in 1858, and the S-Bahn has stopped there since 1972.
Today we are on the edge of the palace park.
