A river that leads from the Alps to the Danube
The Isar cycle path follows the river through Upper and Lower Bavaria. On its way it touches Munich and Freising and accompanies the Isar to where it flows into the Danube. Around Munich it often runs through floodplain woods and along gravel banks, with little traffic and a wide sky.
From our hotel it is about 7 km away. That is not a long way: with our bikes you combine the ride through the fields with a stage along the Isar, without needing the car.
