The Allianz Arena stands on the northern edge of Munich, in the Fröttmaning Heath. Its shell consists of air-filled cushions that can be lit from inside: depending on the occasion the stadium glows red, white or blue. It was designed by the architects Herzog & de Meuron and opened in 2005.
FC Bayern Munich plays its home matches here. The stadium is only a few minutes from us, which makes it one of the nearest larger destinations in north Munich.
