Olympic Park Munich
The park of the 1972 Olympic Games lies a good 8 km south of us as the crow flies.
Book a roomThe park that grew from rubble
The Olympic Park was the venue of the 1972 Summer Olympics. The grounds in north Munich cover about 85 hectares and are among the largest parks in the city. The buildings of the Games are still in use today, for sport, concerts and events of all kinds.
Its defining features are the tent roof stretched over the stadium, hall and swimming hall, as well as the Olympic Tower, the lake and the Olympic hill. You can simply stroll through the grounds, look at the architecture and take a break by the lake.
